Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the third-party company operating that tool. The partner processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate site log of the search terms entered there.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to review it, respond, and maintain related records. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- Page-view times and the pages visited
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- Internet Protocol address
- Visit duration and interaction data
- A referring website, when one is supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. We and our analytics providers use them to measure traffic patterns, such as popular pages and points where visits end. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing errors and security problems
- Operating and improving page performance
- Routing a submitted search to the selected partner
- Measuring which Graves County topics visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Graves County content identifies official routes such as the Circuit Court Clerk, the sheriff and jail, Kentucky AOC, Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry. Kentucky criminal-history dissemination duties include KRS 17.150 and 17.151, while agency access is also shaped by the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884. Visitor information is not turned into a consumer report, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices govern any information submitted to those tools. Review the selected partner’s policy before running a query because we do not control its processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Graves County sheriff, Kentucky courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination’s own privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking practices are not controlled by us.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics providers measuring performance and use
- A search partner that receives a submitted query
- Advertising networks serving ads
- A government body or law-enforcement agency acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, we will take steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence. Kentucky consumer-protection provisions, including KRS 367.110 through 367.300, may apply to particular practices. Subject to applicable law and verification, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data held about that visitor
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where available
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as services or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes available here with its new effective date.
